Getting Started with AI Meeting Assistant
Get up and running with AI Meeting Assistant in just a few minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Laxis account (sign up here)
- A calendar connected (Google Calendar or Outlook)
- Meetings scheduled in Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
Step 1: Connect Your Calendar
- Log in to your Laxis account
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Connect Calendar
- Choose your calendar provider (Google or Microsoft)
- Authorize Laxis to access your calendar
Tip
Connecting your calendar allows the AI assistant to automatically detect and join your meetings.
Step 2: Configure Meeting Settings
- Go to Settings > Meeting Assistant
- Choose which meetings to record:
- All meetings
- Only meetings you organize
- Only meetings with specific keywords
- Set your default recording preferences
Step 3: Enable Auto-Join
For the bot to join your meetings automatically:
- Open Zoom settings
- Go to Recording > Cloud Recording
- Enable "Allow cloud recording"
- In Laxis, enable "Auto-join Zoom meetings"
- No additional setup required
- In Laxis, enable "Auto-join Google Meet meetings"
- The bot will request to join when your meeting starts
- In Laxis, enable "Auto-join Teams meetings"
- The bot will appear as a participant
Step 4: Start Your First Meeting
- Join your scheduled meeting as usual
- The Laxis bot will automatically join within 1-2 minutes
- You'll see a notification when recording begins
- After the meeting, find your transcript in the Laxis dashboard
